KSP 1.02 HOS & Unassigned Miles Policy
PURPOSE: To ensure compliance with U.S. Federal Regulations Title 49 Part 395 regarding both driver and carrier responsibilities in the maintenance of Hours-of-Service records (HOS) as well as the lawful use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs). The procedure is as follows:
PROCEDURE:
- Effective March 1, 2017, Reliable Tank Line implemented the policy below regarding HOS/Unassigned miles violations.
- All HOS/Unassigned miles violations will be reviewed and documented as follows, up to and including termination.
- This Policy will reset December 1st of every year.
- Not following this procedure carries the following penalties:
PENALTIES:
1st Violation: Sign Violation Letter and Corrective Coaching
2nd Violation: Sign Violation Letter and Corrective Coaching
3rd Violation: Sign Violation Letter, PLUS $500 Deduction from DSB Payout and Corrective Coaching
4th Violation: Sign Violation Letter, PLUS 3-day suspension and Loss of DSB Payout and Corrective Coaching
5th Violation: Termination
