Standard Procedures

2.1 Vehicle Maintenance

It is each driver’s responsibility to physically inspect the unit before leaving the terminal or before beginning any trip. The driver must inspect the truck and the trailer. It is mandatory that the “Mechanics Report” be completed each day after returning to the terminal yard. A driver should never begin a trip with a unit that has mechanical defects. (See A-8: Pre-trip Checklist for more guidance)
